January 7 - Lucille's husband, Scott, reports that she made it to Chicago for her fifteen-hour international flight to New Delhi where she should be landing this morning our time. During her twelve hour layover she will leave the international airport, stay temporarily at a mission boarding house, and then travel to the domestic airport to catch her flight to Calcutta. The time there is 10.5 hours ahead of us. (Subtract an hour-and-a-half and change the am to pm - or the other way around - and you've figured the time there.) Lucille will be staying at the Baptist Missionary Society (BMS) Mission Boarding House in the Muslim area of Calcutta (Kolkata), a beautiful new facility which was dedicated in 2008. The BMS has its roots in the ministry of Rev. William Carey who baptized Adoniram Judson, our first missionary from Baptists in the USA. Lucille will also be near Mother Theresa's Home for the Dying and Destitute. (Pastor Dave stayed with the BMS on his mission trip through Calcutta in 1991; wonderful people.) - drb
